Highlights of the April 24, 2001, Special Meeting of the Minford
Local Board of Education.
A report on the 2000 season of Minford Pee Wee Football was presented
to the Board by Spokesperson, John Jenkins.
A report from district Food Service Supervisor, Sharon Hardyman was
read. Information was given to the Board concerning the school funding
situation in Ohio including information on the meeting of school personnel
and students in Columbus on May 8.
The service road to the Middle/Primary Building Project was discussed.
In other action the Board:

Scheduled a meeting of the Records Commission for May 17 at 5:30 p.m. in
the High School Multimedia Center.

Approved field trips out-of-state for kindergarten , fifth grade and National
Honor Society.

Recognized the following individuals and teams for their achievements:

Corrected resolution on cooperative programs.

Employed Gary Robinson as a Home Instruction Teacher

Approved three days early dismissal for seniors. Their last day will
be May 25. Graduation is 2:00 p.m., June 3 in the High School Gymnasium.

Employed certified staff on limited contracts.

Set salary for certified staff and administrators whose contracts do not
expire.

Granted the following teachers continuing contracts:

Non renewal of all non-certificated personnel holding one-yaer supplemental
contracts. This is done each year.

Non-rewal two certified staff and two classified staff- part time.

Re-employed Michael Estep and Jill Williams.

Employed several substitute classified personnel.

Noted the transfer of Kimberly Martin from Bus Route #26 to Bus Route #20.

Approved the request to resign for retirement purposes of Raymond Burchett,
Groundskeeper/Vocatiopnal Bus Driver effective the end of Amy. Mr.
Burchett had been employed since 1965. He is wished the best in the
future.

Accepted new health insurance rates effective July 1, 2001.

Employed the following classified personnel on two year contracts:

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for May 17, 2001, 6:00 p.m.
in the High School Multimedia Center.
