Highlights of the December 20, 2001,
Regular Meeting of the Minford Local Board of Education

Tim Allen, Primary Principal, showed a video tape of the current Middle/Primary construction.  An update was presented concerning the project and discussion was held about assisting the writing-to read type of program and the increasing responsibilities of the school nurse position.

In action, the board:
 

  • Set the Budget Hearing for January 14, 2002 at 12:00 noon in hte Treasurer's Office and the Organization Meeting for 6:00 p.m. on January 14th in the High School Media Center.
  • Appproved participation in the Work Program.
  • Recognized the following teams and individuals:

  • Renewed OSBA Membership.
  • Accepted a minigrant of $1,500.00 Congratulations to Glenda Gullion, Middle School Teacher, for her Success in receiving the grant.
  • Accepted the Safe Schools Help Line State allocation.
  • Approved a change of name request of Elaine Horner to Elaine McGraw.
  • Authorized the Budget Reserve.
  • Approved a change order to install infared sensor operated flush valves in toilets and locker rooms of the Middle/Primary School.
  • Approved the following Resolution of Recognition:
RESOLUTION OF RECOGNITION MINFORD LOCAL BOARD OF EDUCATION

WHEREAS, The Minford Local Board of Education is an important part of the future of our children and,

WHEREAS, Stephen Crabtree has served as a member and as President of the Minford Local Board of Education for the past twelve years and,

WHEREAS, Stephen Crabtree has performed his duties as board member and President with delication and compassion and,

WHEREAS, Stephen Crabtree is concluding his term as a member of the Minford Board of Education,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
that the members of Minford Local Board of Education on behalf of the faculty, staff, students and community recognize and than Stephen Crabtree for his many years of service to the Minford Local School District

The Organizational meeting will be January 14, 2002, 6:00 in the High School Media Center.
