Highlights of the September 20, 2001, Regular Meeting of the Minford
Board of Education
Updates were given by the principals and Superintendent.
In action, the Board:

•Adjusted the salaries of the following teachers to reflect additional
course work:
Susan Bender, Masters +15
Amber Broermann, Masters
Alberta Lynn Coriell, Masters +15
Linda Holbrook, Masters
Jill Williams, B.S. +5

•Recognized Julie Maxfield as a volunteer assistant for Girl's Tennis and
Susan Bender for a volunteer assistant for High School Cheerleaders.

•Adjusted the Permanent Annual Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2002 and
the Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources.
-
•Accepted a Technology Equity Grant.
•Authorized the Minford P.T.O. to sell bricks and place them around
the new Middle/Primary flagpoles. Proceeds of the sale will go for playground
equipment.
•Entered into agreement with the Ohio School Boards Association for
policy services.

•Recognized the donation of $,1000 from the Southern Ohio Medical Center
for Playground improvements. The donation is appreciated.

•Accepted a job description for Maintenance Supervisor.

•Approved the creation of a Maintenance supervisor Assistance/Trainee position
-
•Entered into contract with the South Central Ohio Educational Service
Center for hearing, visual and speech services.

•Adjusted the contract with Minford School District Maintenance Supervisor,
David Smith, through August 31, 2002.

•Approved continuing participation in the Scioto County Attendance Program.

•Employed Daniel Grabeman and Sally Eshem as Home Instruction teachers.

•Granted the request of Amy Doan, Bus Driver, for a leave of absence.

•Noted the transfer of Rita Trapp to Bus Route #18

Adopted the review of Talented and Gifted Assessment forms.

Approved transportation resolutions for two students

Scheduled a Special Board Meeting for October 2, 2001, at 6 p.m. in the
Media Center of the High School for project change order authorization
and any other general business.
