Highlights of the January 14, 2002, Organizational Meeting of the
Minford Local Board of Education
Three persons were elected to the Minford Local Board of Education and
were sworn in at the Organizational Meeting:
Mr. Troy Huff, Mrs Anita McGinnis and Mr Joseph Stockham.
Joseph Stockham was elected President and Mark Caudill was elected Vice-President.
Anita McGinnis was appointed O.S.B.A. delegate and liaison representative
and Sue Wheeler was appointed O.S.B.A student achievement delegate.
The superintendent presented information on a school safety program
and updated the Board on the Portsmouth By Pass project proposals.

Set compensation as per the November resolution

Set the January meeting to be January 29th in the High School Media Center
with the February December 2002 meetings to be held on the third Thursday
of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Media Center unless changed
by the Board

Appointed Eleanor Karshner and Dennis Meade purchasing agents.

Appointed Glenn Franke as the Civil Rights Coordinator/Compliance
Officer.

Approved several standing authorizations.

Authorized Gates McDonald Health Plans as the Workers' Compensation MCO.

Established a Service Fund.

Adopted the July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003 Annual Budget.

Accepted the Five Year Budget Forecast

Approved a change order for replacing the old high school gym lockers with
new ones at a cost of $18,895.00.

Approved the early return of Amy Doan to regular employment as a bus driver
from a one year leave of absence.

Awarded high school diplomas to Army Veteran Lloyd E. Bennett and Navy
Veteran Richard Noel. Mr. Bennett and Mr. Noel are declared graduates
of Minford High School and will receive diplomas.

Tabled a resolution regarding termination of an employee upon return of
an employee from a leave of absence.
