Highlights of the January 29, 2002 Regular Meeting of the Minford
Local Board Of Education
Updates were given regarding school activities, school maintenance,
the building project and various committees and their work.
In action, the board:

Authorized the Treasurer to advertise for bus bids.

Recognized several volunteer baseball coaches.
-
Authorized the Superintendent to send a letter of request for additional
construction funds to the Ohio School Facilities Commission concerning
the costs of abestos and abatement.

Accepted a donation from Wal-Mart foundation.
-
Adjusted the salaries of the following faculty members who have achieved
Masters Degrees: Melissa Bennett, Jodi Rudy, and Bonnie Smith.

Approved a request for medical leave.

Tabled an employment of part-time aides resolution for more information

Approved a Memeorandum of Understanding with #621q O.A.P.S.E.

Approved job descriptions for Head Varisty Football and Basketball Coach.

Approved the Amended Certificate and Appropriations.

Accepted the Assistive Technology Infusion Project Grant as secured by
Glenn Franke and Scottr Ensor.

Noted the creation of the Minford Local School District Technology Department.

Accepted the resignation request for retirement purposes of Pamela Gampp,
High School Social Studies Teacher. Ms. Gampp has served Minford
students with Diligence and dedication for the past 28 years. She
is wished the best!

Accepted the resignation request for Genevieve Dixon, High School Foreign
Lanuage Teacher. Mrs. Dixon has been a dedicated teacher of French
and Spanish to our students for the past 23 years. She is wished
the best!
The Next regular meeting will be Febuary 21, 2002, 6:00 p.m. in the High
School Media Center.
Health Insurance Problems?
Vickie Norton of Grossman Consultants, the firm that is helping our
health insurance transitions and Tracy Johnson of MedMutual will be visting
our schools for purpose of helping our employees with any health insurance
questions or problems. Their schedule will be:
Wednesday, Febuary

Middle School-10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Thursday,
Febuary 14
High School - 8:00a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Primary School - 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Please plan on bringing any paperwork received, including Explanation
of Benefits letter with you. Please check with the building office
to determine scheduling for meeting.
