Highlights of the June 9, 2003, Special Meeting of
the
Minford Local Board of Education
Doug Rudd of the Minford Athletic Boosters addressed the Board
and desired sponsoring
a festival to be held on the new elementary building parking lot.
Mark Holsinger of Tanner and Stone discussed the resolutions,
concerning awarding bids for a
stage in the high school gymnasium and providing parking lots at the elementary.
In action, the Board:
Changed the date of the July meeting to July 29, 2003,
at 6:00 p.m. in the
high school media center.
Reconized Shane Davis as a volunteer football assistant.
Authorized having an auction of classroom items and
equipment on Saturday,
July 26, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. to be conducted by Allen's Auction at the old
Middle School, 565 West Street, Minford.
Employed Brian Cordle as substitute Custodian and Robert
Adams
as substitute bus driver pending satisfactory complention of all requirements.
Employed Kim Conley as Varsity Girls Basketball Coach.
Awarded the stage construction to Crace and West End Electric.
Declared an urgent necessity for bid advertisement
for new parking lots
and playground.
Noted the transfer of Shawna King Smith from the third
grade
to fifth grade.
The next regular meeting of the Minford Local Board of Education
will be
June 30, 2003, at 5:00 p.m. in the high school media center, 491 Bond Road,
Minford.
Elementary Teacher - 3rd Grade
There is an opening for an elementary teacher
assigned to the third grade
effective for the 2003-2004 school year. This position requires appropriate
grade
level knowledge of subjects taught and best practice in delivering instruction
designed to
match State standards and corresponding curricula at the third grade level.
Appropriate certification/licensure is required.
Varsity Cheerleader Advisor
The High School Varsity Cheerleader Advisor position is open.
This position
will work with our cheerleaders and provide training and guidance for the
2003-2004
school year.

Middle School Drama

Lunchroom Cook - 5 1/2 hours - Classified
This position is assigned to the high school and is pending
resolving the disposition of a holder
of a current position. Duties of the position include:
Experience with computerized cash register, make change,
charges, credits, etc.
Print reports, charge letters, etc.
Good people skills.
Assist cook with food preparation.
Assist in dish washing.
Assist in sweeping and mopping floors.
Fill all vending machines and place weekly orders.
Assist cook with inventory.
Assist in cleaning bathroom.
Other duties as assigned.
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or as assigned.
