Highlights of the February 19, 2004, Regular Meeting of the MInford Local Board of Education

Discussion was held on old business items. Mark Shonkwiler reported on the status of the track.

In action, the Board:

Approved supplementals.

Recognized volunteer assistants.

Changed the April board meeting to April 22nd, 6:00 p.m. in the high school media center.

Had a Second Reading and Final Approval of the Board Policy Book.

Approved the Open Enrollment Program and accepted the Guidelines and Procedure Handbook.

Authorized the Treasurer to advertise for bread and milk bids.

Declared the week of May 3-7 as Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week.

Adjusted the contract of the Treasurer.

Accepted a donation from the Portsmouth Kiwanis for the Minford History Program for Youth in Government.

The next regular meeting of the Minford Board of Education will be March 18, 2004, at 6:00 p.m. in the high school media center.
