OLD BUSINESS -
Shopping has begun for the games for inside recess - they will be distributed when shopping is complete.
Further discussion was held about the funding for the AR Books and Quizzes
since the Ohio Reads grant was not available
this year.
Kendra reported that new items for the Spirit Store were planned and fliers
to take orders with . She had a rough draft of the flyer
that she passed around. Tim offered his button maker to use to make Falcon
buttons to sell as well.
The next AR Store is planned for April 3rd and 4th , and in May , the 22nd
and 23rd.
Mindy asked Amy if she could give her an approximate idea of the dollar amount
that is appropriate for certain point amounts.
The Spring Reward - Fun Day for the kids on the last days of schools was discussed
in further detail. Mr Allen suggested the last
week of school, possibly May 26 for the Middle school and the 30th for the
Primary. Game suggestions included carnival-type
games, hopskotch,4-square,fishing game,ring toss,obstacle course,cornhole,sack
race and more. Other activites might include
face painting, karaoke or tattoos.Discussion on whether to provide refreshments
was discussed next. Popsicles/ice pops were
suggested and could be given to teachers to hand out in the classrooms. It
was also decided that this event would be a Surprise
for the students and there would be no prizes given out-the fun of the games
would be enough. Amy will get the dates of this event
and the upcoming AR Stores to Teachers.
Fall Fundraising was next on the agenda. Several companies have contacted Tracy
about using their product in the fall, including
Frankenmuth, whom we have used for the last few years.
NEW BUSINESS
Tonya brought up the COSI on Wheels dates for the Fall. Tim suggested either
mid to late September or mid to late October.
Tonya will check on these dates and the available presentations.
The next meeting was set for March 9 after school.
Minutes compiled by Kathy Howard.
