PTO MINUTES -  DECEMBER 6, 2006

 

Present were Mindy Martin, Christine Goddard, Crystal Charles, Mandee Cyrus, Kristi Cordle, Kathy Howard, Tara Byrd, Susan Bender, and Connie Riddlebarger.

 

The meeting was called to order by Mindy Martin, President.

The minutes from the previous meeting (Nov. 1) were read and approved.

 

President’s Report :

 

The Santa Shoppe committee and workers are working hard this week,

And have had to re-stock mid-way through the week.

 

The Treasurer’s Report was presented by Kathy Howard.

 

Committee Reports were given as follows:

 

Spirit Store committee will try to set up at some Jr High basketball games during the season.

 

Santa Store , as mentioned before has already had to re-stock and re-order merchandise, both from CG Biscuit as well as  Family Dollar, and Guhl’s Department Store.

 

Box Tops/ Labels : There is a deadline for the Campbell’s labels fronts on

December 31st.  The committee will need some extra help getting those cut out and mailed in time.

 

AR Store will be held the week of January 15th, as the grading period ends January 12th.

More definite times and dates will be set at our next meeting.

 

Frankenmuth Fundraising : The Bonus prize we have chosen will be the 4,000 incentive pencils, and those will be divided among the classes.

 

Unfinished Business:

 

Our new checking account is set up and active .

 

The PTO Today subscription has been purchased and we are awaiting the free book that details the guidelines for setting up by-laws and the 501c3 tax exempt status.

 

New Business:

 

Amy O’Dell contacted Mindy about required fingerprinting for PTO volunteers and/or Officers. There is some uncertainty as to who is required to be fingerprinted- only officers or all volunteers. Mindy will clarify with Amy. Mindy has the forms necessary.

 

Mindy asked for ideas on how we could help the Teachers, and likewise the students, perhaps making a Teacher’s Wish List. Discussion was held on this topic.

 

 

The next meeting will be January 3rd, 2007.
