Minford PTO Minutes
officers meeting: Monday January 7,2008
Attendance: Tracy Grasso, Kristi Cordle, Kathy Howard, Rhonda Berry, Christine Goddard, Connie RiddleBarger,
Melissa Bennet, Deborah Daniels, Dennis Evans, Kevin Lloyd
The meeting was opened by Tracy Grasso, President.
Old Buisness:
The finances of Secret Santa and Spirit Store were reviewed.
Pole Wrap for the Primary School playground has been ordered to improve saftey
of our students.
New Bylaws are still pending.
New Business:
New rules will be adopted immediately for everyone's protection.
* The PTO room will be locked and access will be limited to the PTO Executive
Officers and thoes
accompanied by them. If any PTO member needs to use the PTO Room for a RTO
function, they should
feel welcome to call any Executive officer.
*All purchases will require an official receipt for reimbursement, and that
receipt will be signed by the purchaser
and an executive officer as the inventory is checked into the PTO room.
*Only PTO Executive Officers will be able to handle money, including Secret
Santa Store. Bonding of the executive
officers is being explored as another
saftey precaution.
*The Rule of 'Two checks-two signatures' will apply to all PTO functions, including
the counting of Box Tops
for contests, etc.
AR Store in upcoming on January 16-17. Excess Secret Santa inventory will be
used, however, the room cannot be
set up until Secret Santa inventory is completed. Christine will check
with Kendra and arrange volunteers and the class schedule.
Teacher/Staff appreciation gifts need to be selected and purchased. Approximate cost should be $10.
A pancake Breakfast will be held on Sturday February 16 from
8-11 a.m. as a fundraiser. Proceeds will first benefit the Mad
CapPuppet
Theatre Production, and any excess will go toward the purchase of stencils
for the playground. The Spirit store
will be open during this time, and pictures will be available with the Falcon
Mascot. There was discussion about preparation and
volunteer manpower, as
well as a possible silent auction.
The Mad Cap Puppets have been scheduled by Tara Byrd for March
17,2008. They are 10 foot tall puppets that will perform
"The Legend of Little Wolf" in the Primary Gymnasium @ 12:45 p.m. for grades
4-6 and @ 2 p.m. for grades k-3. Minimal
preparation/volunteer manpower will be required.
