The Swauger Valley PTA was organized October 3, 1956.

On September 27, 1966, the Swauger Valley PTA and the Bonser Parent Club were united to become Bonser-Swauger PTA.

When the Minford area schools were united in 1970, all outlying PTA units were dissolved and united as Minford Elementary Junior PTA.
