2003-2004 Members

The next Project Lead trip will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2004.  We will be traveling to Morehead State University.  We will leave at 7:30 a.m. and return by 2:30 p.m.

Project LEAD began during second semester of school year 2001 - 2002.

The pilot core group was nominated by a teacher selection committee.  At the beginning of school year 2002 - 2003, students who were in the academically gifted program at the end of their eighth grade year were automatically enrolled in L.E.A.D. to make the program a continuation of the gifted program for high school students.

The program focuses on leadership skills and study skills as well as goal setting in regards to college plans. We visit a variety of colleges each year and speak to students in the honors programs as well as Admissions Officers.
