Ohio Model United Nations
2002 - 2003
This
year's competition was held at the Adam's Mark Hotel in downtown Columbus,
January 10-12, 2003
Minford
High School Principal, Robert Shaffer, was the proud possessor of a large
trophy. The trophy was received by the Minford High Model Unitied Nations
Team.
Michael Miller, Audrey Miller, Brent Figlestahler, and in front-Collin Johnson
Competition Results:
Iceland's team won "Outstanding Resolution". Team members include Collin Johnson (resolution author), Brent Figlestahler, Michael Miller, Jonathon Frye, and Audrey Miller.
Jonathan Henry won "Outstanding Leader" for his six year participation
in Ohio Model United Nation. Also, he has been the author of the resolution
for six years straight.
Rich Reffitt is the Secretary General for the 2004 High School Ohio Model
United Nations. He now holds the second highest office in the state of Ohio.
He won the position out of 1,000 high school students. He held the same position
in junior high.

Madagascar - Jessica Rowland, team leader
Iceland - Collin Johnson, team leader
Switzerland has finally joined
the "real" United Nations. They joined last month. This means that
the Minford High School team representing Switzerland will be the first high
school to represent them in
the 20+ years of the competition.
