Minford High School's New Band Room

The new Minford High School band room is much larger than the old one.  It is carpeted, has acoustic paneling on the walls (to cut down on ringing sound).  It also has a separate locker room, band booster room, uniform storage, and office for the band director.

The locker room consists of cage like lockers.  Each one is a different size to accomodate more instruments and different instruments.  For example, small lockers are reserved for flutes and clarinets.  Medium sized lockers are for alto saxophones and trumpets.  Medium-large lockers are for trombones, tenor saxophones, and baritones.  While the largest lockers are for tubas, drums, and baritone saxophones.  There is also a sink in the locker room to rinse out mouth pieces.

The band room itself has two drop microphones in the middle of the room.  At the front of the room, a mixing board will be put in with recordable cassettes and CD.  With these, the band can make recordings on tape or CD.
