Minford's Price commits to Wittenberg

Minford soccer standout Shane Price will take his game to the next level, as the senior committed to play soccer for Wittenberg University in Springfield.

Wittenberg is an NCAA Division III school that is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference.  The Tigers are coached by Steve Dawson, and the finished
7-11 overall last fall, including the 4-5 record in the NCAC.

Price was a goal-scoring machine in his career for Minford.  During his senior year, he racked up more than enough hardware to make a statement.

Price was the SOC II Player of the Year in soccer, and he was also Division III Southeast District Player of the Year, earning First Team All-District honors in the process.

His soccer career and accolades have continued since wrapping up his career for the Falcons in the fall.

He was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association/Adidas All-Region Team.

Price also plays for a traveling team.  The highly ranked Ohio FC Team Dayton includes Price on its roster.  The squad is currently ranked in the top 10 nationally of U-18 soccer.

Price is the son of Mark and Julie Price of Minford.
