Minford allowed only one goal to cruise to victory in it season opener.

Cindy Hay and Kara Cayton had hat tricks in the game for the lady falcons, with Hay adding an assist and Cayton contributing to four. Christon Riley, Stacy Phillips, and JJ. Bond had a goal each.

"I was pleased with the defense," said coach Dave Munion. "It was all new from last year, so I was glad they did so well."

Minford travels to Jackson on Monday.
