Falcons Beat Indians
On April 20, 2001 Minford senior Jason Greene pitched another solid outing
against the Valley Indians, leading Minford to a 10 - 1 Southern Ohio Conference
win.
Valley coach Dean Schuler comments "Jason Greene speaks for himself.
He is without a doubt the best player in the conference. He went
out and threw strikes,".
Jason Greene only allowed 2 hits and 4 walks to achieve the win, and earned
2 hits, 2 runs, and an RBI for Minford. Minford's defence held up
while their offence took the game. Gabe Haven and Eric "Bossman"
Green both had run scoring singles, along with 2 RBI doubles from center
fielder Ben Tuttle and left fielder Justin Lewis.
"Right now we're where we want to be, we're playing good baseball...
We dropped a couple of tough SOC losses, but we've got kids here that's
not going to quit.
We need to keep playing and bet better day-by-day and ready for tournament
time... We're hitting the ball pretty good and I think we're going
to be tough down the road."
