Entering the season, the Falcons have only seven players returning from last season's squad, and just two starters -- Hayden Zeis and Andy Bailey. However, Minford's crop of new players, including T.A. Phillips, Luke Lester and Sean Childers, have looked good so far in practice according to coach Tim Martin.

Despite the inexperience, coach Martin is confident that his team's can lead the Falcons to success on the field this season, and may lead to a few surprises.

"There are going to be some mistakes, and that is going to happen when you have a lot of freshmen and sophomores playing," he said. "However, I believe that we can finish .500 with the group of kids we have right now, and it will be a successful season."
