Mike Flaig, senior tackle, and Tim Santo, senior halfback, received the top individual awards at the recognition dinner for the Minford High School football team.

Flaig, a three-year selection to the Southern Ohio Conference All-Star team, was named most valuable lineman, Santo, who was named to the SOC team this season after being honorable mention last year, was named most valuable back.

A third awrd was presented to junior Jim Hobson as the most improved player.  The awards to this trio of players and to the other members of the varsity team were made by coach John Dudding and assistant David Pierce.

Other seniors receiving an award were John Berry, John Fisher, Jack Kleinke, Terry McGraw, Bob Patterson, and Bob Piatt.

Juniors received awards were Steve White, Randy Scott, Fred Brisker, Rick Daniels, Bob Shirey, Mark Conkel, Tim Piquet, Mike Craft, Mike Vallandingham and Phil Stanley.

Sophomore award winners were Willard Aeh, Sam Slusher, Darryl Phipps, Charles Turner, Bob Schroder and Roger O'Dell.

Freshman receiving awards were Tom Townsend, Mike Crawford, Mark Scott, Don Sparks, Bob Figlestahler, Keith Pelphrey, Alan Brisker, Gene Angle, Dennis Shonkwiler and Wayne Brown.

Managers receiving awrds were Steve Crabtree and David Fell.

Brief remarks were made by the two coaches and by Clifford Jenkins, Jr., Minford High principal.
