Wheelersburg 10, Minford 3
Erin Faulkner continued her winning ways in the circle, striking out 10 batters in the Lady Pirates’ win over Minford.
Through three innings, the game was tight, as the Lady Pirates led 4-3. Rallies in the fifth and seventh innings helped Wheelersburg outdistance Minford.
“ We started the game off sloppy, but by the fifth inning, we settled down a bit and hit the ball,” Wheelersburg assistant coach Adam Bailey said. “We also struggled pitching to begin, but Erin buckled down and did what she needed to.”
Brooke Baker had a home run and five RBIs for Wheelersburg.
