MINFORD SENIORS WILL PRESENT A COMEDY DRAMA

Students will be given the chance to show ability.


    "Nobody But Nancy," by Eugene G. Hafer is the play to be presented by the seniors at Minford High School next Wednesday and Thursday, May 14 and 15 at the high school auditorium.  "Nobody But Nancy" is a whirlwind farce-comedy by a popular modern author.  Nancy, eighteen, and always in trouble, is the despair of the whole town of Sweet Springs.  To secure a coveted from her rich Uncle Adam, who employs only married people, she writes him that she is married.  When news arrives that Uncle Adam is coming to town, Nancy suddenly faces the desperate necessity of finding somebody for a husband, and finding him quickly.  What happens when uncle arrives -- well, let the seniors show you on Wednesday and Thursday night.

    The cast is working under the direction of Miss Frances McCowen, and the play promises to be one of the best events of the year.

    Following is the cast:

    Nancy King, just Nancy,  Irvine Fishbaugh;  Sarah Andrews, who looks often Nancy, Mabel Nibert;  Sue Andrews,  Sarah's niece, Helen Boyer;  Adeline Perkins, the town old maid, Bertha Shumway;  Luella Crawford, the sweetest thing in Sweet Springs, Mildred Ruby;  Fanny, the hired girl, Charlene Cole;  Larry Wilson, and unexpected visitor in Sweet Springs, e Parsons; Ted Porter, a much abused young man, Uel Underwood;  Adam King, Nancy's peppery uncle, Carlos Nibert;  Jimmy McCabe, from the back alleys, Kelly Garner.

    Scene, living room in the home of Mrs. Sarah Andrews.  Place, in the town of Sweet Springs.  Time,  the present.
    Another attraction for each evening is a preliminary feature "Billy Bingles Bungle" which is being put on by the following seniors:  Adrian Kallner, Forrest Bennett, Rowen Brisker, Riley Coriell, Dan Smith, Escam Borders, Otto McLaughlin, and Latt Scott.
