General English I
General English I will cover basic
skills in grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading, and writing. Basic
reading skills will be stressed as preparation for the 9th Grade Proficiency
Test. The class will also study short stories, poetry, Romeo and
Juliet, biographies, and other literary genres. Writing will
be an important part of the curriculum.
