Admissions Procedures
for College


Cedarville College

1.  Obtain, complete,and return an application for admission.  Application are available from and should be returned to the Admissions Office.  Necessary recommendation forms are included in the application.  A $30 fee and two current photographs should accompany the returned application.
 

2.  Take the American College Test (ACT) or the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and have the score reports sent to Cedarville College.  (Use the Act code of 3245 or SAT code of 1151 when you register for the tests to have your scores sent directly to Cedarville.)  The application for admission may be submitted before taking this test.
 

3.  Request that high school transcripts through the junior year be sent, along with a recommendation from the high school counselor.  Class rank at the end of the junior year should be included.
 

4.  Request a recommendation from the pastor of the church the applicant attends.
 

5.  Request that official copies of transcripts for work completed at other colleges be sent (transfer students).
 

Students who hav been offered admission for a particular quarter may defer their enrollment to to a subsequent quarter by notifying the Admissions Office in writing at least one month before the quarter begins.

Ohio University

     If you (1) soon will receive a high school diploma from a chartered or accredited secondary school or a GED equivalency certificate, and (2) have not been enrolled for 12 or more quarter hours (or 9 or more semester hours) of coursework at a college or university, you are considered a freshman applicant.  You must have a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) High School Equivalent Certificate by the time you plan to enter college.  Consideration for admission is based upon your high school performance (class rank, grade-point average, and curriculum); aptitude test scores (ACT or SAT); the strength of your high school program; and special ability, talent, or achievement.
 

     To apply, submit a completed application for admission (included in the Application Bulletin), the nonrefundable $30 application fee, ACT or SAT scores, and an official high school transcipt (sent directly to the Office of Admissions from the appropriate state GED office, official testing center, or GED Testing Service).

Ohio State University

1.  a completed and signed application from.
 

2.  a $30 non-refundable application fee.
 

3.  an official transcript of your high school course work (official transcripts have either an embossed seal or signature of a certifying official from your school.  No faxed transcripts will be accepted.)
 

4.  the College Prep Form, completed and signed by your school counselor.
 

5.  official ACT or SAT scores (Scores appearing on your high school transcript will be accepted.)  Please Note: Scores received after the application deadline for tests taken before the deadline may not be accepted.  Plan to take the ACT or SAT early in your senior year of high school.


University of Rio Grande

1.  A complete application for admission

2.  A $15.00 application fee

3.  A transcript of high school credits (Students repuired to pass the proficiency tests for high school graduation, must submit proof of passing or exemption from these tests.)

4.  Results from the American College Test (ACT) (Not required for persons who have been out of high school five or more years.)


Marshall University

1.  A high school diploma or GED diploma

2.  An Overall Grade Point Average of at least 2.0 (Caverage) and a composite score of at least 19 on the ACT or a combined score (verbal + math) of at least 910 on the SAT

3.  Completion of the 1990 Board of Trustees course repuirements or a 2.7 GPA and ACT composite score of 19.


Morehead University

    If you are a graduate of an accredited high school, you will be unconditionally admitted if you meet the Pre-College Curriculum requirements established by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education and have a minimum admission index of 400.  The admission index is a numerical score determined by computing the cumulative grade-point average times 100, and the ACT Composite (or converted SAT) times 10.  Those submitting SAT scores may be asked to provide ACT scores after enrollment.

    In order to apply for admission you should submit to the Office of Admissions: (1) a completed Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship Application; (2) official ACT or SAT results; and (3) a final high school transcript afer high school graduation.  All applicants for four year degree programs must meet the Pre-College Curriculum for unconditional admission to the University.


Shawnee State University

    Admission to students not seeking a degree at Shawnee State  University is also open.  The minimum requirements for admission of all students, both degree seeking and non-degree seeking, include:

     Acompleted application for admission.

University of Cincinnati



      Fill the application out and put a nonrefundable $30 fee must accompany your application.  Applications for admission to fall quarter are considered until an academic major or college is filled.  However, because many programs fill up quickly, we recommend that you apply early in order to assure admission consideration.  Because an admission decision cannot be made until all transcripts and test scores are submitted, it is in your best interest to provide these materials prior to January 15.
