Farmers in the vicinity of Minford, Stockdale, and Gregg in Scioto and Pike counties will have lower freight rates on limestone moving from an important W. Virginia quarry, according to a new tariff just issued by carriers covering that territory. The request for lower rates in that territory was made some time ago by farmers of that section through the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. the new rate brings a saving of $7.50 per car on shipments to Minford, $30 per car to Stockdale and $37.50 per car to Gregg.
