Mrs. Ellen Dodson & Mr. Bob Bowen - 1980

The original "Mighty Minford Falcon," Mr. Bob Bowen, passed away on November 28, 2000.

Mr. Bowen was a graduate of MHS in the Class of 1949.  He began his career in 1967 as a sportscaster on WSAZ television station in Huntington, West Virginia.  When announcing the local sports scores, Mr. Bowen always referred to Minford as "The Mighty Minford Falcons."

He will always be remembered in our school district for his loyalty and admiration of his high school alma mater.
