An 11-month-old boy drowned Monday night in a tub of water at his home at nearby Minford.

Jerry Lee Stephenson's mother, Mrs. Russell Stephenson, had placed the baby in a dishpan of water on the porch to help bring relief from the heat.  A six-year old brother, Russell, was sitting in a nearby tub.

The mother left the porch momentarily to get a comb, and the six-year-old son followed her.
