Anthony Pennington, 49, of Minford, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in Southern Ohio Medical Center's emergency room. He was born May 2, 1955, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Richard Pennington and Cora Roseland Witten. He was a former coal miner and attended Pine Creek Church.

He is survived by his stepfather; Fred "Bill" Witten of Minford; two daughters, Crystal Pennington of Minford and Nicole Pennington of Wheelersburg; one brother, Michael C. Pennington of South Webster; his grandmother, Cora McWharter of Wheelersburg; and four grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharron Pennington; one brother, Richard Pennington; and one sister; Andrea Raines.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at D. W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with the Rev. Mike Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at D. W. Swick in New Boston.
