Arnold McCain

Arnold C. McCain, 89, of Minford, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Southern Ohio Medical Center-Scioto.
He was born Sept. 16, 1914, in Scioto County, a son of the late Charles and Dianna Lyons McCain. He retired on Jan. 31, 1975, from the maintenance department for the C&O Railroad after 38 and 1/2 years of service. He was a World War II Army veteran, and a former member of the Brotherhood of the Maintenance of Way.
He is survived by two brothers, Arthur "Tidd" McCain and Charles McCain, both of Minford; and 10 nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Amy Hickman, Amma Culp and Mildred McCain.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with the Rev. Sidney Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion.
