Mildred V. Bonzo, 93, of Minford, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001.

She was born Feb. 14, 1908 in Harrison Township, Scioto County, a daughter of the late Zenis and Serena (Coriell) Hayward.

She was a lifetime resident of Scioto county.

She was a graduate and valedictorian in the class of 1927 at Minford High School and a member of Sunshine Church of Christ.

She is survived by four daughters; Phyllis Stevens of Bradenton, FL; Vivian and Harry Wooworth, Sharon and Isaac Hardin, Serena and Steven Miller; one sister: Mary Gleim of Portsmouth; one brother; Forrest Hayward of Wheelersburg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle E. Bonzo on Oct. 14, 1984, whom she married on April 20, 1929; one brother; Merritt Hayward; and one sister: Laura Mae Rambo Swisshelm.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001 at 11a.m. at Sunshine Church of Christ with Jon Coriell, minister, officiating. Burial in Batterson Cemetery.
