Earl B. Purcell

Earl B. Purcell, 89, of Minford, died Saturday,
Feb. 5, 2005, at Golden Years Convalescent Center.
He was born July 26, 1915, in Nicholas County, Ky., to the late Russell
and Maude Lee Harney Purcell. He was a retired Truck Driver and Farmer.
He was a steel worker and also a World War II Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Guance Purcell. Earl is
survived by three sons, Gerald Purcell, of Minford, Garland Bradley Purcell,
of
West Union, and James Clay Purcell, of Sarasota Fla., one daughter, Carolyn
Joyce Galion, of Wheelersburg; one sister, Mary Ruth Payne of London;
and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Violet Purcell, and a half
brother, James Hamilton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at the Roger W.
Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with the Rev. Matthew Brooks officiating
and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral
Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and one hour before the services on Tuesday.
