Eugene Stockham

Eugene Stockham, 84, of Minford, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Born June 12, 1920, in Minford, a son of the late Joseph Warren and Cora Agnes (Bonzo) Stockham, he owned and operated Minford Body Shop in Muletown for many years and was of the Methodist Faith. He was a World War II Army Veteran, a member of the James Irwin Post 622 American Legion and was a former member of the Knights of Pythias in Minford.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Myrtle (Pyle) Stockham of Minford; three sons; David Stockham and wife, Karen, of Ashville, Joseph Stockham and wife, Sharon, of Lucasville and Thomas Stockham and wife, Sharon of Lucasville and Thomas Stockham of Minford; one sister, Marguerite Canter of Lucasville; six grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harland and Raymond in childhood, Richard Stockham and Harold Stockham, and one sister, Elizabeth Dawson.

Services will be at the convenience of the family with graveside military rights conducted by the James Irwin Post 622 American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made in Eugene's memory to Hospice of Southern Ohio, 1248 Kinney's Lane, Portsmouth, OH 45662
