George W. Watters

George W. Watters, 70, of Greenbriar Road, Portsmouth, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.
Born May 31, 1934, in Scioto County, a son of the late Charles N. and Sarah Ann (Ockerman) Watters, he was a brick mason for 35 years and was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline R. (Stout) Watters, whom he married on Aug. 9, 1954; two daughters, Bea Ann Watters, of Greenbriar Road, Portsmouth, Brenden Harter and husband, Gene, of Jackson; three grandsons, Roger Harter Jr., Jeremy Harter and Nathan Harter; on great-granddaughter, Riley Harter; three nephews; and one niece.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence William Watters, on aug. 9, 2003; on brother, the Rev. Charles Thomas Watters, on Aug. 8, 2003; on brother, the Rev. Charles Thomas Watters; and one sister, Ida Mae Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Michael Musser officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Furnace Cemetary on Swauger Valley Road. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, and one hour before the services on Tuesday.
