Gertrude Purdy

Gertrude Purdy, 94, of Minford, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Heartland of Portsmouth.
She was born July 31, 1909, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late John and Ella Albertson Lintz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Purdy; one grandchild, Steve Purdy; one great-grand-child, Chris Purdy; six sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlene (Paul) Gahm of Minford; grandchildren, David Gahm and Bill Purdy; four great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Gertrude was a former Selby Shoe Company employee, a retired cook from the Minford Local School District and the oldest living member of the Ohio Avenue Christian Church in New Boston.
Funeral services will be noon Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Doug Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
