James Nelson Harper, 67, of Oliver Road, Minford, died Wednesday, July, 14, 2004, at his residence.

Born Jan. 12, 1937, in Mount Gilead, Ohio, a son of the late Ben H. and Helen Lancaster Harper, he was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by one son, Scott Harper of Wheelersburg; two daughters, Kathy Kerns and Rita Canada, both of Minford; nine grandchildren; and six great -grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Mark Raymond Harper, and one sister, JoAnn Cox.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Glendale cemetery on Lucasville-Minford Road. No calling hours planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
