James McGraw

James R. "Bob" McGraw, 94, of Minford, a former resident of New Boston, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 24, 1909, in Blue Creek, the son of the late James M. and Mary C. Holsinger McGraw. He was a retired Millwright with Empire-Detroit Steel Corporation.
He is survived by five sons, Ronald C. (Barbara Ann) McGraw of Portsmouth, Earnest R. McGraw of Pennsylvania, Roger D. McGraw of Portsmouth, Robert Lee McGraw of Portsmouth, and Alvin D. (Wanda) McGraw Tulsa, Okla.; four daughters Patricia Ann (George) McCain of Sciotoville, Winola Kay Askey/w (Daniel) of Minford, Carolyn Sue (Jim) Deaton of Georgetown, Ky., and Beverly McGraw of Portsmouth; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grand children. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, James McGraw; sister, Claribelle Slack; and brothers, Charles, Roscoe, Bert, Joe, Tom and John McGraw.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at the D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston, with the Rev. Peter Michael officiating, with burial in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
