Lois Lorraine Meenach, 88, of Minford, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at Heartland of Portsmouth.

Born June 12, 1916, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Clyde and Elodia Belle (Lewis) Gilliland, she was a dietary supervisor for St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus. She was a member of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church and attended Bigelow Church in Portsmouth.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Esta) Allen of Minford, Janice (Vancil) Reed of Minford and Sandra Joseph of Newark; five grandchildren, Tony Oberley, Katherine Brown, Randy Johnson, Tamara Mathues and Stacey Milhorn; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jerald Meenach; two brothers, Glenn Thomas Gilliland and Marvin Gilliland; and one granddaughter, Jodi Joseph.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Talerico officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before the services on Thursday.
