Louise Shuter

Louise Shuter, 77, of Minford, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005,
at Ohio University Hospital in Columbus.
Born July, 31, 1927, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Oscar M.
Smith and Calista A. (Preston) Smith, she was a homemaker and former employee
of Western Union in Portsmouth. She was a member of Lucasville Chapter
495 Order of the Eastern Star, Minford Women's Club and was of the Baptist
faith.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Joe Howard
of Minford and Donna and Tim Rayburn of Lucasville; five grandchildren,
Chris Howard, Brent Howard, Dusti Rayburn and Jeremy Rayburn; one brother,
Kenneth (Wanda) Smith of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
James Donald Shuter on Sept. 22, 1976, whom she married on July 2, 1947,
and one nephew, Scott Smith.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Dan Diddig and Pastor Phil Howard officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour the services on Saturday.
