Margaret Elizabeth Niner, 86, of Minford died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Heartland of Portsmouth. Born June 15, 1917, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Harness Piquet, she was a lifetime resident of Scioto County. She was a lifetime resident of Scioto County. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Minford.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Lynn Niner of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; two daughters, Marilyn and Cebert Newsome of Minford, Judith and Warren McQuesten of Minford; one sister, Mary Schaeffer of Ashley Corner; six grandchildren, Carol Burnheimer, Ed Newsome, Robin Jones, Greg McQuesten, Dawn Hubler and Jeffrey Niner; and eight great grandchildren, Ryan Burnheimer, Taylor Jones, Matthew, Amber, Ashley and Joshua McQuesten, Cyle and Kurt Newsome.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Niner, on April 27, 1981, whom she married in 1938; one son, Jeffrey Mark Niner, Feb. 11, 1975; and three brothers, Harold, Francis and Donald Piquet.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Scott Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and one hour before the service Sunday.
