Walter Foster, 77, of Hansgen Morgan Road, Wheelersburg, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Best Care Convalescent and Rehab Center in Wheelersburg.

Born Jan. 13, 1928, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Clinton and Inez Allen Foster, he was a retired operator for Goodyear Atomic Plant and was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by five daughters, Mary Ehrhart of Minford, Lisa Daniels of Lucasville, Irene Cummins of Wapakoneta, Angie Gilmore of Marysville, Tenn., and Jennifer Vulgamore of Jackson; two sons, Robert Daniels of Minford and Wayne Daniels of Lucasville; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Richard Foster of Wheelersburg, Joe Foster of Hurricane, W. Va., and Clifford Foster of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Foster, David Foster and Howard Foster.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Joe VanMeter officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the services on Monday. Military gravesides rites will be conducted by the James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion.
