Minford Lion's Club Activities
2004 - 2005
The Minford Lion's Club has paid for fencing and other work done at the Minford High School tennis courts, provided eye exams and glasses for needy students, and recently supported a visually impaired student's trip to Space Camp. All of the money earned by the Club is utilized to support school and community activities.
At their December 2004 meeting, the Lions were the proud recipients of the STAR award from the Ohio Highway Department - only the second organization in Scioto County to achieve the award - given to organizations who conduct at least four annual trash pickup events on local roadways for a period of five years. The Minford Lions collect trash on routes 139 and 335 throughout the spring, summer and fall.
