Editor Times: -The weather is very pleasent at present. Apple, pear and cherry trees are in blossom, and present a fine prospect for fruit. There will be few if any peaches in this vicinity.

Wheat looks very well, yet some fear there will be half crops.

Our neighborhood was thrown into quite a tumult at the report of a "lamb of the flock leaving the fold," yet report proved correct, and we think it strange that one who recieved such good home influence should this go asrtay.

The funeral of Mr. A. Stockham's child, recently deceased, will be preached at Porter church next Sabbath (April 30th) at 11 o'clock, by Rev Alva Crabtree. THere will also be preaching on Saturday and Sunday evenings, by the same, at the same place.

Mrs. Metz, wife Charles Metz, is danerously ill with but little hope of her recovery.

Miss Anna Bloom, of Portsmouth, is visiting Mrs. Ida Rigrish of this place. Mrs. Ella Funk is visiting her mother, Mrs. Coriell.

Many thanks are due Mr. L. Marshall, of Sciotoville, for his kind instructions and interest he has taken in our Sabbath School.

We learn that a Sabbath School has been organized on Bonser's Run. Our well wishes our with them.

In twenty-one years from now the Democrats will have two more voters. Mr. D. Strouse and J.W. Traxler are the happy fathers. We were rather crestallen upon learning that "Jabez" resides in Madison instead of being Harrison township-envied we are envious.

"Nemo" is certainly mistaken in thinking there are more pretty girls in Sciotoville than in Harrisonville, and perhaps he will acknowledge his mistake before he is a loser.
