Article taken from The Daily Times, August 15, 1895

E. S. McAllister and E. M. Lisle, who have been visiting at the home of their uncle. J. M. Violet, of Harrisonville, were coming to this city on their wheels Wednesday. As they were coasting down the divide near Harrisonville they ran into a sand pile and took a tumble, breaking the crank of McAllister's wheel and the front hub of Lisle's wheel. They had to walk several miles back to Violet's. They intended to return on their wheels to their home in Columbus, O., but owing to the accident had to return on the N. & W. this morning. While in the city they were the guests of Chas L. Beatty and Ed. T. Fisher.
