Albert McKenzie

Albert McKenzie inherited his ancestors' love of farming. The farm that was given to him was referred to as "the lower farm." It is located on both sides of St. Rte. 335 in front of the porperty owned by the airport. Before the railroad went through in 1917, the land was not divided. Today, a bridge allows the McKenzies access to the farm land that lies across the railroad tracks. Of great historical importance is the fact that the farm is still being operated by direct descendent McKenzies.

Albert McKenzie married married Gertrude Everling. They had two sons, Donald and David. Donald married Gertrude Bradbury. David was killed in a car accident in 1941. He was twenty-two years old. He is buried beside his parents in Bennett Cemetery. Donald inherited the family farm. He and his wife, Gertrude, had three children: Jane, James David, and Gwen.
