Ira Coriell

Ira Coriell, one of the oldest residents of the county, died Tuesday at his home in Harrison Township, aged 87 years. The deceased was born near Seneca Slaek, New York, on May 8, 1812, coming to Ohio but when six years old with his parents in 1818. He was married in 1834, to Miss Serena White who died in 1873, five children being born to them: Henry and Harriet, deceased; William and Alfred, the well-know farmers , and Mrs Minerva Farney of Sciotoville. Deceased was one of a large family, but the only remaining member now is Abraham Coriell, the veteral jeweler of this city. The funeral will take place Wednesday, at 10 a.m., Rev. W.A. Harp officiating. Interment in the Batterson burying ground.
