John T. Miller
John T. Miller was a native of PA. He was born August 12, 1829 to George and Margaret [Pearson] Miller. He came to Harrison Township and purchased the Scioto Mills, on the Little Scioto River in the fall of 1880. His wife was Urania Wheeler, daughter of Isaac, Wheeler. The had nine children: James F., Drusilla, Althea, Amanda, Gracie, and four who died in infancy.
During the Civil War, Mr. Miller fought on the side of the South in th Second Virginia Calvary and was wounded in the second Battle of Bull Run.
Mr. Miller was an active member of the Methodist Church.
