Noah Dever was a native of Madison Township. He was the oldest of nine children born to William Dever and Louisa McDowell. His first wife was Lydia Austin of Ironton, Oh. She died shortly after their marriage. He married [2nd] Mattie Gilliland. They had one child, Louisa. Mr. Dever was Porsecuting Attorney of Scioto County.
