Samuel Hammet Crull
Samuel Hammet Crull was born in 1841, in Madison Township to Samuel and Sally Dodge Crull. His grandfather was Judge Samuel Crull. Samuel H. had a common school education and made his living as a farmer. He married Caroline Stockham, a daughter of Joseph Harvey Stockham.
This Samuel Crull served in the Civil War in Company F, 140 OVI from May 2, 1864-September 3,1864. After the war he returned to farming on Long Run Road near Harrisonville. After the death of his wife, his maiden sister, Julia, resided with him. He was a Republican, a good neighbor, and a friend to those in need.
