William J. Crull

William J. Crull born in 1836 to John H. Crull and Sarah (Sally) Squires. He had a common school education and a term in the University of Delaware. He taught school and tended a store for five years before going into business for himself at Harrisonville.

He served in the Civil War in Company F, 140th OVI and a private. He was a Republican who voted for Lincoln in 1860. He married Emma E. Allen in Colfax, Indiana. They had two sons, Finton A. and William J.

Crull sold his store in Harrisonvile and moved to Clinton Co. Indiana in 1880, where he made his living as a farmer.
