Woman Killed, Four Hurt in Head-on Crash

One woman was killed and four persons were injured in a head-on collision of a truck and automobile here late today.
Mrs. C.R. Horton, about 60, of Columbus died of a skull fracture. The automobile was driven by her husband. Police identified the truck driver as Robert O'Dell, 30, of Portsmouth. The accident occurred on U.S. route 50 on the eastern edge of town.
Horton was cut and bruised and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Maude Reigel, 54, of Columbus, was injured seriously, suffering a crushed shoulder and hand. O'Dell received back injuries and Charles Martin, 18, of Charleston, WV, a hitch-hiker riding with him, was cut.
Mrs. Horton, her husband and sister were en route to Jackson, OH.
