Dragging operations were to resume early today for a former Army paratrooper who landed in the Ohio River while making a practice jump.

Scioto County authorities said Roger Bridwell, about 25, of nearby Friendship apparently drowned after strong winds carried his parachute into the river about 10 miles west of here.
